Maurice Gutman, W2VL,(sk), a Major during WW II, received a Bronze
Star for his leadership in communications support contributing to the
rescue of 255
downed American planes and their pilots. He also made significant
contributions to
the establishment of communications stations in support of the invasion
of Europe.
